Visiting Us

Come visit the DuPont Nature Center, located at the Mispillion Harbor Reserve. Our observation deck is open year-round from sunrise until sunset, offering a brilliant view of the harbor and its wildlife. Be sure to also visit our Interpretive Center, open at the following times:

March 1st through April 30th
Tuesday - Saturday
10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Closed Sunday and Monday

May 1st through September 30th
Tuesday - Sunday
10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Closed Monday

The center will be open for special programs after-hours throughout the summer; check the calendar of events for those dates.

The grounds and deck are open sunrise until sunset and may be utilized for wildlife viewing.

Directions:

From the North (Wilmington / Dover)

Take Route 1 south to exit SR-36 toward Milford/Slaughter Beach
Turn left onto Cedar Beach Road / DE-36 (4.6 miles)
Turn left onto Lighthouse Road (1 mile)

From the South (Sussex County)

Take Route 1 north to exit SR-36 toward Milford / Slaughter Beach
Turn right onto Cedar Beach Road / DE-36 (4.6 miles)
Turn left onto Lighthouse Road (1 mile)
